fished Macs Friday morning with boat,saw two caught by another boat anchored closer to point,today there from 6am -10am only one caught by boat at end of the line downstream.
Fished bannana Friday night one caught weighed 17lbs

I’m going down to the rangitata gorge in 2 weeks for 3 days. Anyone know what lures to use? Or where to fish. And has anyone had any luck up there recently?

Was fishing the Rangi yesterday from sunrise till 11am up river,had whole river flowing pass me,see nothing.Other fisherman seen nothing either.One caught at Arundle in the middle of the week 14lb,but it wasn’t me.

Fished Maks this arvo for an hour or so until it got too wet and wild, they were saying it was pretty quiet today, only 1 fish taken.

50+ salmon caugt in Otago Harbour last week.

Thats the best I have heard of in quite a while.

3 salmon taken at macintoshs to 1pm today all in boats, to my knowledge 1 was taken yesterday and 4 Monday. the southerly change stirred and dirtied the river and put paid the fishing though it was clearing on the incoming tide but the wind became a bit much.

seems like the fish have arrived, 12 at macintoshs today to 2pm and heard a rumour that 14 were taken at the mouth.

You sure are right about a RUMOUR that 14 Salmon were taken at the mouth Friday. Absolute rubbish!!
