    cheers we saw plenty of big fish there tail swishing etc. Alex caught his on a vibrax mepps type spinner (black fury) style . The Rakaia has plenty of fish you just got to have a go.We had it for dinner fed 5 of us fried lighty in olive oil excellent!!!

    hey guys has anyone had any sea runs out of the mak yet iv fished it sevral times with no luck latley but in the kaiapoi iv been getting sea runs most outings cant work it out ?

    iv just been using a fly i tie its just a bh wolly buger but tied in a grizzle coulor seems to do the job

    Cheers guys, yeah fergie I seen you over there but as I have my cam zoomed out to the max things appear further away than they really are. Great day down there but that was the only fish I encountered sadly.

    No baitman there was zero in it’s guts which seems to be the norm during winter, I guess they are waiting for the smelt run to start in late august!!
