Good stuff burkefish, you deserved one for fishing in this rubbish weather ! Were there many others taken today ? We gave up by about 10 but should probably have stayed until low tide.

Cheers mate & yeah they put up a great fight. There’s some real donkeys out there too but I haven’t landed a really good one yet although I’ve hooked and dropped a couple.

Cheers for the replies, I forgot I had posted this ! We did our last trip out for the season on Sunday and it looks like they kingies have gone for the season. Can’t complain though, got plenty when the weather allowed us to get out.

I went past there a couple of weeks ago and it was quite high. The weed around the edges wasn’t too bad either. I didn’t fish but did watch a couple of browns cruising the edges of the weed bed.

A mate was at the Rangi Fri/sat and didn’t see anything. I was at the Waimak mouth for low tide this arvo and there was nothing caught in the couple of hours I was there.

Good to hear Larry and cheers for the updates. Might be time to dust off the salmon gear and get out there.
