I went past there a couple of weeks ago and it was quite high. The weed around the edges wasn’t too bad either. I didn’t fish but did watch a couple of browns cruising the edges of the weed bed.

Took the kayak out had a few follow ins with the lures but the lake was getting raped by nonstop boats trawling, didnt even bother going out after a few days, everything was spooked.
got a nice rainbow in the upper manorburn dam was well worth the drive up there,700m avove sea level.
also a few browns in the clutha.
