I don’t think any of the salmon entered were caught at the rivermouth. All were taken at Macintoshes or the Banana Hole.10/03/2012 at 8:11 am #20575fishoParticipant
Nice fish Tom, Love that rod…. you sure know how to fish that spot.10/03/2012 at 9:09 am #20576
This salmon was caught by Robert DeAth in the Waimak Comp today. It placed 3rd heaviest. The weight was 5.74 kg. More pics to come. A couple of blokes caught two salmon each. Amazing considering how many anglers there were who caught none!10/03/2012 at 9:12 am #20577burkefishParticipant

Took the boat to Mackies for the first time this season. My mate hooked and lost a good fish and then landed one about 7lb on what was his last cast for the morning. Shame we had to go, reckon there will be a few around today.
There was one other caught from the rocks while we were there.
