does anyone know if the boat ramp at the bmx track is useable at the moment ?

I heard today there is a chain up across that ramp.The one above the munted foot bridge is open.

nothing at the mouth between 6.30 and 8 this morning

where are the salmon fished mackies friday and saterday both days only one caught
BUT on saterday morning just befor and after first light i saw alot of fish porposing around the place all heading upriver

Fished mackys tonight 5 caught 1 bank,1 boat,3 south side kaiapoi also heard couple caught there this morning ……….

saw a couple on the north side of the mac mouth, nothing for me though. Was on the other side between 5 and 7 this evening. Might have to try again in the morning if the wind has dropped.
