Would be interesting to hear how they go. Was tempted myself but I already have spare mid range rods laying about so decided not to add any cheap ones to the collection.
I did purchase a Berkley Lip gripper for $12.00. It was in a set with a knife and fish scaler. Initial retail price was around $59.99, that was reduced to clear at $29.97, then was reduced again to $11.97
I have compared mine with a few I seen in local tackle stores and they look identical. The main difference that I could see is that the tackle stores ones were “Made in China” and mine was “made in Vietnam” on the packaging.
I do not have much use for one (but would test it out), but I have gotten my money worth just by playing with it.
They currently have containers of Mustad J hooks discounted in the warehouse, I do not use J hooks so did not purchase any but the pricing seems like a very good deal.
