seems like a mob of fish moved up the mak today with some taken. doesn’t look like there has been much rain up the back don’t know at the pass as it hasn’t registered since jan10, Carrington is showing 30mm but not up dated since 4.30pm. don’t know why ecan can’t keep their gear operating properly?

Fished at Mac Rocks again this morning. Dawn till 8am. Didn’t see any taken though. Unlike yesterday where it looked like there was an upturn in fish numbers. Heard that 7 were taken yesterday. It will be interesting to see how many today. Heaps of sea runs around still. Great to see that the colour is improving each day. Nearly forgot how mint it can look after the last few weeks of rain.

2 taken in boats, one 18lb, a lot of fish were seen to go up stewarts gully side. some also up the other side. the southerly wind destroyed the fishing as it coloured the river along with a slight rise from yesterdays rain. up river fishing should be good this weekend.

no, only 35mm of rain at carringtons- no reading from the pass. 90cum at otarama at 9pm tonight.

No action at mouth Saturday am both north and south side. Water fishable. Probably a bit early in season to be fishing the mouth.

poped down mouth for look nothing doing down there untill i left bout hour before low…

Went down the Opihi this afternoon, Saw 2 Salmon Caught at the mouth both looked around 10lb, Then Went up by the Waipopo huts and I lost one.

Was down the Opihi between 1100 and 1600. Saw 3 caught one 11lb and 2 around the 5-7lb mark.
