Good catch shark slayer. I went out rig fishing near birdlings flat friday night, fished from 7.00pm till 2.30am and didnt get a bite. I was using old crab from last year so that probably didnt help.

Hey Liam i would love to know where u got these carp from too, because i used to fish for them back home in the uk.

Yes thay are deffintly still around, I fished there on good friday and got one good ky and lost one and was only fishing for a few hours

I thought i would give Lyttleton a go on Saturday and fished from midnight till 4 am and had one rig about 10lb.

I also fished the pier last night till 10.30 but no bites.Wot time did u start geting bites zac ?

Fished Sumner last night, got 3 rig biggest was 12lb and lost one. My mate got his first rig so he was happy.

Hay guys,I have finaly got my laptop fixed so i can get onto the internet now . I have been out a few times this season however only had 1 rig but hopeing to head to birdlings in the next few weeks to catch my first elephant fish. Looks like u have been busy Ian, good on u mate

Well the fishing was not that great the other day at Taylors Mistake we only got one small school shark.

hahaha (pommy slayer) i like it. We was going to pop in to say hi on the way home birdlings flat but we didnt leave till 1.30am so dont think u would of been to happy with a visit then . I am going to taylers mistake tomrrow after work so will let you no how i get on.

Me and a mate went to our usual spot at birdlings flat yesterday afternoon and i caught a 7lb kahawai and a 10lb rig and my mate got two nice sized rig.

yes hipp i was using crab,i went out yesterday to Southshore to stock up on them for next time.Thanks for that fishforpot i will have to try that next time.

here are the two rig i got on saterday just a few hours before the competition,biggest was just over 20lb

went to Bayleys today fished 12 till 8.30 got 2 small school shark and 1 dogfish.a guy next to me got a seven gill shark about 3 and a half feet long.i saw u birdlings flat when u went past and i gave u a wave when i was setting up.

went to amberley yesterday fished from 1.30pm to 8pm and didt even get a bite ,was hoping to head to birdling flats today but weather not looking to good
