What do you guys think of the expected catches at a few popular spots around Blenheim

Station Creek is the small stream at Seaview.

Martell Beach should be Marfells beach.

Other two locations are clear.

If only it was still the 70’s! Cant say I have seen snapper or moki being taken from seaview or blind river…yet, but I have heard of a snap being caught… you never know
Can only hope for an elephant and as for the groper….no comment

The groper reference might of been for boat fishing I suspect.

Although years ago there use to be reports of groper (pup) caught off the beach down at seaveiw, the spot was about halfway from the carpark to the awatere river mouth. This info came from sum old locals i knew when i lived out that way.

People use to catch groper with handlines from Wards beach.. but that is probably 80 years ago.
