Doing a tramp on Monday alongside the Mararoa, from ”The Key” towards the Souther Mavora lake, staying in a DOC hut 3 nights, coming out thursday.

The normal school holiday’s last 2 weeks, I’m taking a third week off and heading to Samoa
Where I can fish and work on my tan/freckle line.

What weight rod do you have for the trevally?

8 weight, floating line, meant for trout not sea
I can always use my salmon rod, spooled up with 25lb line….
