punakaiki surf casting spots

    hay im wondering if you guys know of any good spots to do surf-casting around punakaiki on the west coast?(i am staying at a batch next to the fox river a liltle north) im new to the area over there and any advice would b great

    Bloody rough when I was there last spring, so i fished the lower reaches of the pororari and punakaiki rivers instead with my trout rod, got a couple of kahiwhai and a nice brown trout.
