Cool, so no different from Kaikoura. That makes things simple.

would imagine it would similar to the whole east coat… anything from the west really

Parts of the east coast is rough when the wind is from the west, for example Clifford Bay. I think the wind must sweep around the white bluffs… Sometimes even Cape Cambell south to Kekerengu is unpleasant during a strong NW with the wind hitting from the side. Cloudy Bay is pleasant enough, with the wind hitting from behind.. So normally pleasant when the wind is from the W/NW. NW is certainly one of the best forecasts for Kaikoura, normally very calm. But my knowledge is lacking for anything south of Oaro.

any wind is fine long as its only light, but nor west would be the go or even no wind
