I always wanted to catch a elephant fish…. I was thinking of heading south to try and catch one this year but decided to postpone it for another year.
Whitebait Season starts 1 September 2026 and ends 30 October (inclusive). Chatham Islands: 1 December to the last day of February (inclusive)
