Hi guys, long time lurker preying on the wealth of surf/rock fishing information on this forum, wanting info on launching my tinnie at Kaikoura.

i have recently purchased an old-ish 12-footer with a sweet running 25 and a 5 auxillary that i am taking with me (providing i can get the wheel bearing sorted!). i have looked at the main page regarding this area and curious for some further details:

when launching on the “boat Harbour”, is there a boarding jetty and how much rope is needed to lower the boat down the ramp??;

apart from the ramp at South Bay, is there any other ramps or recommended beach launching sites (preferably north of the township) that my 11yo and myself can access easily??
