Anyone else catch the episode on Sunday night(I think) on Nat Geo ? only saw the second half but that guy fishing in the wettie was crazy! I will often wear my chest waders on flat beaches but I dont know about donning a full wetsuit & swimming out to a rock/reef with surfcaster & gear etc. Also the guy kite fishing in Taranaki had bloody subtitles what a crack up, is our “kiwi” accent that bad ?

Almost at nuts at that Watson dickhead!
The reel wouldn’t have been much cop after the deep immersion.
Reminded me of the immigrants fishing at the Waimak mouth for Kahawai then returning their reels that suddenly stopped working despite being full of sand and salt.

hooked is a good show. but that watson dude is pretty full of himself he went a weeeeeee bit over the top with that stunt fishing, but he jumped out of a boat on the marlin, the marlin on a surf board had been towed on a line for a hour be for he got on the board same with the tuna, and the marlin on the hand line had been worn out a bit too.

dont for get the marlin from a helecopter!!!! watson is the man and with some of the thinggs hes done he can be full of himself putting new zealand fishing even more on the global scene i mean he would be bigger now than those useless allblacks or what ever they call themselves

Yeah but marlin from a helicopter was faked, he jumped on it from a boat I think.

hooked is a really good fishing series i have seen few episodes too hooked has got letter of recommendation from me it is a great show indeed.
