I just read in the newspaper that the rebuild for this bridge in Kurow is going to start in March.
How invasive to this major spawning tributary is the construction of a two lane bridge going to be?
A large portion of the Waitaki Salmon will spawn in this river, and trout will be thinking about getting busy up there during the bridge build, that I would expect to take a while to complete.
I hope it’s not going to be too disruptive. Especialy during a cracker season.
how do others feel about this? I was alittle unsettled by the article.
I understand due to water levels, there realy isnt much choice on what time of year they choose to do this.
