that could be worth a nosey, lake forsyth and birdlings flat used to be a major eel fishery for the ngai tahu. They will be doing it in Lake Ellesmere or in Lake Forsyth. Not in the sea, it was just a promo for the show. They looked to be in a lakeish surrounding. Not sure why they say Birdlings Flat in the promo, it’ll be close to there anyway.
