was just thinking tonight and well for a bit of a laugh who’d be interested in an informal distance casting competition? i mean hey theres fishing comps etc but ya know a bit of a laff a bit of a bbq or what the hell etc lets group up have a feed have a few casts have some fun. Lets get it on…..Oh and no pendulums allowed

The park on QE2 Drive by Burwood roundabout would be a good venue, open paddock in front beyond the park edge for the unfortunate moments.
We held a casting day a couple of years back as we backed onto a schoolfield here in Levin. It was brilliant!
BBQ and bevvies accompanied the lies and the casting efforts and results were very revealing regards styles, weights, rod differences etc. Great for the in between days and gaps in the moon phase etc. Good media to meet other members too.

Well hey i’d thought i’d throw it out there, nothing too serious but at least we can all put our money where our mouths are so to speak. thought it might be a good way for some members to get together and have a chinwag a bit of a feed cupla brewskies and fire some leads around a park lol
