yes i have used squid before and had little success only catching doggies ..
i like it tho because it stays on the hook..
so prawns sound easy to get hold of ..
i have never caught an ele but hope to ..
rig sound good …
we are down around the rangitata river mouth
so crabs or prawns for bait ..
would they not just come off the hook …
??
and do they need to be cooked
