Yes. You want a good quality graphite-Kevlar rod in the 14-16 ft range. Probably better to stick with the 14-14″6′ rod to start off with as the longer ones can be a handful until you are completely competent at casting. If you want any more info, send me a pm with your cell #, cheers.
