Yes, possible (although not traditional in NZ). One or two places where you could get lucky. You’ll need a fast-sinking shooting head. The bottom line is you wll have to put in many hours. Top salmon fishmermen here will catch a fish every 15 hours of fishing. The average is about 150! Feel free to email me closer your visit and I’ll let you know how things are going.
