that saltiga is a bargain, those things are pretty much bulletproof and fantastic for fishing braid.
The shimano is a great reel too, quite heavy but would probably do the trick also baitrunners are a great option if you want to pop through to kenepur and have a crack at some good sized snapper from the shore, what make/rating is the 12′ rod?
