The Complete Guide to Fishing the Twizel Canals Contains 148 pages, 25,000 words, and 185 photographs and is a much larger and more detailed work than the earlier Fishing the Twizel Canals by the same author released four years and five months ago back in August 2013.
I greatly appreciate the assistance given by many top anglers who fish the canals on a regular basis. Sometimes the fish are easy to catch and sometimes not so much. Knowing the best approach, when, where and how to fish makes a world of difference when it comes to targeting big trout and salmon in this wonderful world-class fishery.
This book was a big job to produce. Contributors to The Complete Guide to Fishing the Twizel Canals include Logan Ahfelt, Charles Smith, Paul Spicer, Rasmus Gabrielsson, Lilik Abdul Hamid, Sam Reach, Jamie Blair, John Collins, and Malcolm Bell.

“Benmore Salmon Limited The second salmon farm set up in the Mackenzie Basin was Benmore Salmon Limited located on the Ohau B/C canal. It has a different raft configuration and no doubt benefitted from the lessons learnt early on by Southern Sockeye Salmon. Richard Logan was also involved. Benmore Salmon also tried the pesky sockeye until they too discovered they were a difficult fish to contain. With even a small hole in the net, they would all squeeze through and escape. The last straw came when 10,000 fish from a consignment of 14,000 escaped into the Ohau B/C canal.”
