Chinook Salmon Spawning Act – Video

This series of videos captures a pair of “fin clipped” chinook salmon preparing to spawn in a Canterbury high country head water. After the spawning act the hen then covers the eggs with shingle and stones while the jack chases off any intruders. Video made by and courtesy of Kevin Belcher.
