True, but they will still take the same flies. Also due to mulletman saying he’s fishing between the bridges there isn’t much insect activity there and assuming he’s spinning, they eat the same as they do in the summer.

Had a good 2 days on Bemore over the long weekend, 18 fish with a stunning 6 pound rainbow being the largest.
Also have had quite regular 10-15 fish days here in wanaka, the norm being between 3 and 8 pounds. I’ll try to throw a few pics up

Took the fly rods out to akaroa a month or so ago, just perched myself on a rocky outcrop on the other side of the harbour. Landed 4 legal blue cod and 2 barracoutas. Great fun on the fly rod
