Agreed. I rarely fish Bayleys because I prefer solitude, but litter is getting left at my normal possies too. And don’t get me started on the ethnic litterers. The amount of meat on eles, I reckon 5 fish a season is enough!
Fished south from bayleys Friday evening. First cast, crabbed off.Second cast and darkness had by then set in. A take, but in the excitement must have pulled the recurve hook out of its mouth. Wind back in quarter of a crab. Third cast, almost immediately a take…a bit wiser this time I let it take the bait and it’s all on…. multiple runs…[Read more]

Went out last night, same…[Read more]
Thanks for the info SS, agreed, today was flat calm but nuttin but doggies and schoolies down Rakaia way also. Water was dirty though. Same place yesterday with more swell, light easterly and cleaner water and got a nice wee ele, and no shit fish.
Thanks Duckman, yes might try again, passed by Napenape about 3 weeks ago and had a cast early one morning, but nothing. Had a good take but didn’t hook up. Are longer casts better rather than just past the breakers?
