5) What do you do for a crust:- Am a weather forecaster, would like to move onto something else at some point tho I spose. We’ll see.

6) Hobbies:- Fishing!, Weather (mainly thunderstorms and things that go with it), chasing thunderstorms, hummers, tramping, photography, ten-pin bowling, electronics, home theatre, diy, etc etc……

7) How long have you been interested in Fishing:- Since I was 4 or 5 years old, can remember catching my first spottie! With a family not interested in fishing it was hard to get out at times however, finally freedom with the car etc and can do it when I want. However now I have work to contend with! ARghh! Wish I had the success of yourself Dan when I was younger getting the amount of fish you have in the short time you’ve been doing it!

8.) What got you interested:- As above, watching Gone Fishing, and reading fishing books.

9) What aspect of fishing interests you:- I like the aspect that alot of things when fishing I don’t have to think, no stress….and being out with mates. Catching fish is awesome to and never knowing what you’ve got on the line!

10) What is it that you like about this forum:- There’s alot of local people here which is great, good to hear reports from close to home. Everyone seems fairly casual and good minded (if that makes any sense?). I would however like to catch more snapper! LOL.

8.) What got you interested:- Cant really remember.I guess it came natural Wet my fist bait in the sounds off a boat and use to eel all the time while I was to young to venture out on my own.

9) What aspect of fishing interests you:- That anticipation of “whats there” when sea fishing,especially surfcasting.You never know when you are goin to make that once in a lifetime catch.Im waitin for a stray mako to take my bait while surfcasting

8.) What got you interested:- My Grandad took me when i was little up in kaitaia, caught heaps of snapper and gurnad off the 90 mile. Then when i was a lil older I made a home made spear. Add a spear-water race trout and eel and ya get the picture(dont like saying it but it was fun). I have caught KY,Snapper, Gurnad,Tarakihi,Blue and red cod,fresh sea and blind eels,herring,trout,Sharks,wrasse,spotties,beer can,gold fish ,skate,guppies,seagull.

9) What aspect of fishing interests you:- sea fishing would be the chilling out,talking chit and the randomness off what you could catch. Fresh would be the thinking and adventerous side of it. Also a free feed of fish never goes astray.

10) What is it that you like about this forum:- The southerness of it, nothing worse than reading about northies catching snapper/kingis/gurnad, at least here there is a great bunch of guys and relevant fishing stories,hints and tips.

10) What is it that you like about this forum:- Getting helpful local knowledge with having to listen to jaffas crapping on about snaps snaps snaps. And we mostly seem to be stuck on the ground for fishing.

7) How long interested in fishing. My Dad plonked a spinning rig in my hands up at Lake Pearson back in 1969. Last year I was running an RP2 and tieing myown hair n coppers. Fresh water sharks rock. However, the price of a liscense and petrol and ” things ” for a fishing trip leave me sadly UN impressed. WHERE IS MY SURFCASTER ?

9) Wot Do I Like : Stalking Brownies ! The laying of Cunning Traps and Ambushes. But REALLY ???? I go fishing for the scenery I tell ya ! Y’see…..Brownies can read your mind, and if they catch a HINT that some womble is up there with a rod n reel, then I catch ZIP. If I am sightseeing, the Brownies think its perfectly safe…..so they come out to browse, shop , play etc. Rainbows are just beserk and I love em.

10) Wot I Like About This Forum . It will help me ! It has some sage advice , and heaps of experiance. I can find out darn near ALL I need to start hooking in to red / blue cod , rig and ellyfint fisch. Great forum.

What got you interested:- Same as above really when i caught that HUGE [or it seemed at the time spotty]

Sometimes the frustration of catching nothing and then catching a whopper all of a sudden. Having fun on a beach with mates on a sunny day and then catching a fish or 10.

10) What is it that you like about this forum:- How there are people as crazy as I am[ well… maybe not THAT crazy ] about fishing that will give advice based on passed experience.
