How much better is ulstron that kiwi mesh? Net styles I am thinking about are large Southalnd sock and large sock scoop nets
IMO there is significantly less drag when using English ulstron. Which means its less tiring to push through the water, and can be moved more quickly. So I feel Ulstron is worth the premium on scoop nets. Its probably less beneficial for Set Nets.
I agree. For a scoop net ulstron is definately the way to go.On a large net the amount of drag through the water is significantly more with kiwi or other types of netting.I once had a new scoop net made of that kiwi stuff and on an incoming tide It was almost impossible to hold it in the current. The Ultsron netting I beleive is more durable and dries out a lot quicker as well.
