im going to the west coast soon does anyone know any good spots or tips. i’ll be fishing fox river and beaches surounding the mouth, the buller river and this other stream.

Be prepared for distance casting because most of the beaches are very shallow. Long casts around low tide could be the most productive.

With regards to the Buller, walk the banks and locate areas where lights are over the water, often they attract bait-fish which are preyed upon by large sea run trout.
