im heading to aussie for a holiday and will be doing some surfcasting off some beaches mostly fraser island and am wanting to know what the deal is with taking rods and reels out of the country to australia.
I could buy over there but not too keen if I cant bring it back due to biosecurity dramas, maybe hire a rod???
TIA
i took my own rod and reel to canada and the us, used it plenty and brought it back, just made sure it was competely dry. At nz customs the wernt bothered at all, really just worried about waders and wet vests, things like that.
