You got Blue cod off a wharf in Kaikoura? Cool! How long does it take to get to Kaikoura from Chch?
Another place I must go and fish, good to hear you got red cod to. Perhaps they aren’t just a winter only fish. I understand they spawn somewhere near July / August so perhaps the winter theory comes around something to do with that? Like they come into shallower water or something??

LOL, well hopefully the blue cod were of a good size then!
Interesting to hear about the Moki to, I’ve never caught a moki but they seem like something that is resonable sized and a good eating fish which is what you want.
Aaron20/03/2007 at 8:21 pm #7783
Resonably sized I should say. Considering they can be caught from the shore.21/03/2007 at 6:04 pm #7785
