Sounds fishing last week

    Was offered the use of a batch in the Sounds last week , and jumped at the chance .

    Was more an exploratory mission than anything , but I did have a few morning fishes off the beach part way out in the bay …

    Caught 5 fish all up …all snapper .

    2 throw backs …. 1 just legal which I threw back …

    1 nice pannie , and a large model which was quite exciting ….

    Will be going back again without a doubt

    Good fishing mate. Be very careful of the red ones, they are quite addictive, been suffering for years………..

    Took a couple of pics … daughter holding the big one but it doesn’t do it justice …..I’d guess at over 20lb
    Addictive is right …..I was thinking it had to be a kingy while waiting for the guides to bust off the rod , all sorts of creaking/clinking going on ….I had a heap of hurt on it trying not to get spooled …..that was a rush

    absolute cracker….well done.ive got 3 weeks off work and have been meaning to head up that way for the last couple of seasons but never got round to it..thats good motivation right there!
