ParticipantThese been a long thread over on the TT forums.

I have found, when fished on the bottom like a piece of dead bait they would catch the occasional fish. When fished with floats, or in such a way that they move through the water column the catch rate increases. When cast and retrieved like a lure they work their best, and can out fish traditional ticers. In saying that, I do not use them while Surfcasting. I sometimes have a few flicks while rock or wharf fishing.
