    No its 40cm.Same with Red Moki.There is no fish in NZ stated to require a minimum legal length of 45cm.Not that I know of anyway.

    I also often think that 45cm is the limit but know that 40cm is. Maybe we confuse it with the size limit for butterfish which is “35cm” and live in a similar environment.

    Think it is nearly time for a Kaikouria Moki mission. Have not been done there since the surf casting comp. Although would love to check out the westcoast.

    whoops thats right i appoligse iy is 40 it was just the ones aarond and i were getting were all around 45cm and now i remember they were 5cm+ over legal lol dumbass

    lol it happens.Better to be over than under! 45cm is not a bad fish ay considering its only 5cm over.A cupla cm’s makes quite big difference I reckon as far as the feed is concerened.

    I can only see 2 pictures on this forum and thats storms seven-giller [nice catch by the way] and shark-tales Jack Mackrel [again Nice catch!]….
