    I’ve seen rig caught on those Kontiki things at Spencer beach, do the the rig come within casting distance anyone know, seems pretty shallow there?

    The knot I prefer to use is the bristol knot without a Brimni twist. All of the guides I have seen online show the knot with a brimini included but i do not feel it is required.

    a simple loop knot like a “rapala knot” would be suitable?

    i got that rig on 8lb line and 25lb trace, when i was just mucking round with my spin rod :P took me bout 40mins to land it haha

    Same for me i use it to tie braid trace onto my spinning rod;[about 50m of braid with mono underneath just in case trout/salmon akes it a long way.
