Some guy hooked and lost a suspected Salmon amongst the Kahawai at the Opihi yesterday so there’s definitely a few around might be an early start to the season?21/10/2013 at 8:56 pm #23824burkefish

ParticipantYea my scales are a bit bung so il say between 12-14lb
Beautiful condition tho
I thought it was a searun till it plopped on its side and slid neatly into my claws.
Hopefully this rain will sort the rivers out for the start of a cracker season eh!22/10/2013 at 6:59 am #23829burkefish
Participantits starting to shapeup that way, might get the salmon surf gear out and hunt for some clear water around some of the rivers, never used it last season, it needs a workout. you have a good start rig_slasher well done, you give all us addicted salmon chasers hope of an early fish.
