A mate and I had an interesting couple of hours fishing the Shag River near Palmerston.

The bottom two fish are mine with the top two tipping the scales at 5lbs for the middle fish and a shade over for the top one.

The angle of the pic doesn’t really do the fish justice as they are all in great condition and were actually fatter than they look here.

I’m going back there

Nice catch i live in Dunedin so might give it a go there. What time of year were you fishing there?
