Several new faces on Central South Island Fish and Game Council Former fishing guide and Flyshop NZ owner Steve Gerard is one of the new CSI Fish and Game councillors hoping for a fresh start.
Several newly elected councillors on the Central South Island Fish and Game council want a “fresh start” to proceedings.
The council, which represents hunters and anglers, is currently the subject of an audit ordered by Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage, which will be looking into processes and potential past conflicts of interest.
Elections took place over September and October, with the official results released on Wednesday.
They have resulted in eight new members being elected to the 12-person council, with many of the new councillors wanting to see changes to the way the organisation operates.
