A quick update on the fishing…

Spent time at the Diversion and Wairau river mouths… KY still present at both. The diversion is by far the most popular mouth at the moment Yesterday I counted around 20 moderately-small KY. , casting room can be a problem. I rarely see more then 2 people at the Wairau Bar.

The mouth of the diversion is narrow and fast, the mouth of the wairau has not changed much. I predict the KY stay around until the first big flood of the winter or frost.

Went for a dive in Port Underwood, There are large school of undersized moki about. Could be worth a fish at night off the rocks.
