Fished just past birdlings this morning from 6am with crabs and prawns ,stayed until 11am and not even a nibble , trawler came past just before we left. There was a couple of doggies and a dead carpet shark lying on beach from night before.04/12/2011 at 9:30 pm #19630

I just popped down and grabbed this medium Moki though around 4lbs on tua tua so all is not lost…

That photo makes the Moki look a lot bigger then 4lb.

I think to answer milli s question..its all long term stuff..we dont know as yet?..but things are looking up..so it may have been nearer 5lb..honestly i was just happy with a decent moki -weight was without guts and gills which i do very quickly once landed..thanks chaps..onward to smoke mizz lips…yum05/12/2011 at 4:28 am #19644

just so we know the conditions for a fish so not travelling all the way out there for nothen.
