ParticipantConsidering the “Latest Catches” thread was started over a year ago, I thought it might be time to start a new one, just to keep things a bit more organized. Big threads can also cause some problems with the forum database after they reach a certain size.
So, what have you caught lately?

ParticipantGood idea Zac, I’ve had 2 sea-run trout out of the mouth of the Waitaki river, 2lb & 4lb. Only tried the surfcaster once last week, without any luck aside from a few small bites, things dont seem to happen down here for another couple of weeks yet

ParticipantWent for a Surfcast down at blind river this morning, moderate swell, light wind becoming stronger. Outgoing tide. Used three baits, salted mullet caught 1 good size ky, Big Squid caught a red cod and small tope, Prawn caught nothing.

ParticipantWent for a few casts at Nape nape today. Not alot happening. Wind started getting the sea choppy later in the day. So gave up..
Got a few good bites. and my sis got 2 huge wrasse. But other than that not alot happening… Were using pippies (sp?) for bait.
