This weeks episode of the ITM Fishing Show looks interesting.

Steven Spielberg did a pretty good job back in 1975, when he released his movie about a gigantic Great White menacing the small island community of Amity.

I find the whole quick blood orgy to race out and try and catch a GW before the ban to be rather sickening.

Reporting every day there was a small fleet of boats heading out to capture them, often for their Jaws. Truly idiotic and selfish behaviour and does nothing to help the image of ‘fishing’ in the ‘greenie conservative’ eyes.

I missed the arse end of that episode,did they end up gettin the shark to the boat and releasing it? Mate that would be awesome goin to the chatems for a fish. even just sein those sharks in their natural habitat not so far from nz would be a hell of an experience.

I think you can download the show from TVNZ ondemand. There is a charge but the first 4-5 shows are free to download.

um nah they didnt get it it got tail wrapped just below the boat so they had to handline it and then the line snapped so it swam away

jeez you’d have to be mad keen to wrap a steel trace round your gloves with a 1 ton White pointer on the end of it! “Grab em mate he wont bite ya!

I think there was something on again on the last episode about the Great whites. I think they were going out to try get a DNA sample from one or something. I missed it since I was busy, and the people that went to Kaikouria would have missed it too.
