Gore Bay/Hurunui Mouth area???

    A friend of mine used to fish gore bay before he moved to chch for uni. He said he’d catch mostly rig and kahawai, from somewhere close to the camping ground…

    gore bay isnt the best really its too shallow but just down the road is nape nape which is much better for surfcasting

    I’m staying at manuka bay inbetween gore bay and hurunui mouth.. its a bit more shingle that gore bay. with rocks at either end of the bay..

    as long as there is something other than spotties to catch it should keep me happy :)
