If anyone casts their own weights i’ve got a fair bit of lead for them if they’re

keen to send a few weights my way once melted up etc. Have about 1.5m of 2″

piping so 2-3kg ish. Pickup in riccarton/fendalton area.

Lets just compare the two directly. The black bar on the fishingmag forum side represents the total amount of the facebook group which is actually “discussion”, the rest of the facebook page is menus 5%, adverts 10%, Friend list 5%, or unused blank space.

Yes you are right about the layout differences Thomas, but the facebook page is so much easier to load pics,single or multiple.
The extra ads on it dont bother most people cos they simply ignore them and only read what they want to.I coudnt even tell
you what they are advertising as I ignore them completely.Its really good to get a heads up on fishing as it is happening.The keen ones let you know what fish are being caught as it happens.So whilst facebook is not perfect most prefer its speed and content.

The whole point as I recall stemmed from the lack of site moderation on spammers on this site and the preference some members had circulating on an alternative social media option……. then, you appeared.

If you can’t substantiate your petty reply, I suggest you consider watching what you accuse others of, especially in public media.
If you don’t like Facebook, who cares. Others here are well justified in their comments earlier in this thread, which incidentally was about Lead for sinkers until it was hijacked by an uncontrolled spammer.
Why not post a thread expressing your thoughts on Facebook since you despise it so much. I bet no-one would post a response to it.
Why? Coz this is a FISHING SITE where members can share information on stuff about FISHING!!
AND as I am a member, just as you are, if I have something to share about anything fishing, expect to see it just as you write your ramblings about fishing expecting us all to be impressed with your offering.

I have never started a topic on using another community, and nor would I. I am here for the fishing, but would defend the integrity of this community from the likes of you when required. Greg made a valid point regarding the spam, but I disagreed with shutting this forum down and using facebook instead, then you turned up and started to throw one of your now trademark tantrums throwing insults and adding very little to the discussion. I know you do not like this forum, you have said so several times already so please leave it to the ones who find it a worthwhile place for discussion.

Should of done this a long time ago. But its bittersweet, I know your negativity would continue to fester away.

All this forum needs is a couple of moderaters who visit the site regularly to clean up the spam and it would be great.
Its sad that the facebook page has more active users than this forum.

getting back to the topic,I have been making sinkers out of old lead roof nail heads, Made my own wooden molds and used a heat gun to melt the lead.

I have asked allan in the past to make me a mod to at least try get onto of the spam, it was good for a while but at times allan seems to be here once in a blue moon, Shark-tale/steve was doing a good job for a while, not too sure where he is or myabe hes just sick of it and has given up caring as facebook now days gets more people on it,

Shark_Tail has not be on since February, and Yellowfin has not be on the last couple of days hence why the Spam has not been removed. Until he decides to add more Mods the only thing to do is “Report Spam post”, and if the user is flooding add them to your foe list.
