ParticipantI left at 8:45-ish. The fishy was going so slow so decided to go home to find out what was going on with my Kayak.
It got sorted in the end.

ParticipantYeah.
I was thinking maybe Early December. Hopefully would beat the worst of the holiday makers, and it would leave October and November free for trout fishing.

ParticipantA trip in early December or thereabouts sounds like a good idea.
I went back to the spot where I caught the salmon off the beach yesterday and used a hex ticer again, for about 3 hours. I hooked up with something that put up more fight than that 10lb salmon but it got away when it was 5m away from the shore, all I saw was a big tail and a fish of 3kg+ If kahawai fight better than salmon then I’d say it was a kahawai. All I caught today was an octopus.
