We are currently trying to keep the lake and increase its future prospects re all fish..for those that are interested heres some rare video I shot of the eels in the lake trying to get across the gravel at midday last year..
Did the eels in the video make it to the sea? How much further did they have to go before reaching the surf?
they cant travel on gravel thats not wet..just a metre or so..we caught and released hundreds that night and the following day the digger opened it..very unusual to see them in the daylight..off they went to tonga to breed..it was the rush of saltwater through the gravel and the vibration of the surf..
