I know this isn’t really a topic for this forum but the other forums -e.g. boating- don’t get much attention.
A paravane is a paper plane-shaped bit of plastic that fits onto your line to take the lure down deep while a with a downrigger the line is fed through it and it is kep in your boat.
Whats the point of buying a downrigger when a paravane/paravane will do the job, it’s cheaper, and you don’t have to lug the downrigger around and have it sticking out the end of your boat?
Also what speeds and settings on the downrigger would be good for certain depths?
I have had very little experience in trolling so any help would be appreciated!
Sorry I cant add much about downriggers, but a ring to a local fishing store should help you out.
