ParticipantHi All,planning to take the kids to the groynes on sat for a picnic and to try them at fishing.I rung the maf yesterday to ask the rules and any ideas and tips on fishing.he said you can drive around to the lakes where you fish insteade of walking over the bridge.But just looking on google earth and wondering what way you go to drive around to the lake . has any one done this before ? any tips on fishing there and how to drive over to it is greatly appericated .

Inactivejust follow the road, it takes you past the dog park and the lakes ,you cant miss it.

Participantthey stock the groynes reguly, in november 2011 I got 34 salmon from the groynes, they were relesed. But most of the time the salmon don’t get above 5lb, but sometimes they relise big trout, my mate got a 16lb rainbow out of the first lake 2 years ago, no jokes. Besides, the 2lb salmon are great fighters on a 6lb spinning rod. Rerember, under 17 only it bugged me that 30 year olds were fishing, swearing, smoking, and littering.
