    Hi all

What is the minimum size of a trout you would kill

For me (I don’t really take that many fish) 3 pounds is the minimum. Even in stocked ponds I think this is fair because you ain’t going to get much out of a 2 pounder.

I say release it and catch it when its bigger

I am more inclined to release big trout then small. I rarely keep fish but when I do they are typically 3-4lb. Most trout heavier or smaller then that would get released.

    yeah, forgot to add

    I don’t take trout over 5 pounds.

But That wouldn’t apply to stocked ponds

They are all victims bash there heads in (just joking) :geek: I take 3-4lb leave anything heavier or lighter unless i really need a feed.

Salmon i will take 11/2 and above out of the canals as they escape frequently from the farms. Then i bash there heads in
